Illuminate was formed to transition a novel, patented catheter technology from Virginia Tech's research labs to a commercialized product used in neonatal wards.
Our team was multidisciplinary team that:
- Conducted market ecosystem and customer discovery within the medical field from NICUs to catheter producers (I personally participated in over 25 face to face interviews)
- Won pitch contest for product commercialization path in 2016 Union Innovation Challenge
- Partipated in I-Corp short course through NSF
